Usability Engineering für Benutzer-Interaktionskonzepte von Augmented-Reality-Systemen (Usability Engineering for User Interface Concepts of Augmented Reality Systems)

Bei Augmented Reality (AR) handelt es sich um eine neue Technologie, die es gestattet, in das reale Sichtfeld von Benutzern zusätzliche virtuelle Informationen einzublenden. Um neben einer reinen Technikentwicklung auch den zukünftigen Benutzer von Anfang an zu berücksichtigen, wurde im BMBF-geförderten Leitprojekt ARVIKA die benutzerzentrierte Systemgestaltung als zentraler Bestandteil des Projekts verankert. In diesem Beitrag werden neben der Vorgehensweise beim Usability Engineering im Projekt ARVIKA erste Ergebnisse aus der Evaluationsphase der AR-Benutzerschnittstellen dargestellt. Diese zeigen, dass AR zwar große Potenziale für die Praxis aufweist, jedoch wesentliche Bestandteile der heute gängigen Interaktionskonzepte desktopbasierter Systeme hinsichtlich ihrer AR-Tauglichkeit überarbeitet bzw. vollständig neu gestaltet werden müssen. Neben Problemen mit den bislang entwickelten AR-Benutzerschnittstellen werden Lösungsansätze dargestellt und so die Grundlagen für die Entwicklungen in der zweiten Projektphase aus benutzerzentrierter Sicht gegeben.
